Cheesy Sausage Rolls


  • 480g apple and pork sausage
  • 1 cup of cheese – grated
  • 5 tablespoons of Maison Therese Sweet Chilli Relish
  • 2 sheets of shortcrust pastry – trim 1 quarter of the pastry from each sheet and discard (slice it lengthways)
  • 1 egg – whisked
  • White sesame seeds


  1. Heat the oven to 180 fan bake.
  2. Squeeze the sausages out of the skins into a bowl. Add in the grated cheese and 1 tablespoon of Sweet Chilli Relish.
  3. Ready two sheets of pastry, spread 2 tablespoons of Sweet Chilli Relish per sheet over 2/3s of the sheets.
  4. Divide the sausage equally onto both sheets of pastry, shape the mixture into a round shape and place it on top of the relish. Leave roughly a 1cm boarder on the sides.
  5. Tightly roll the pastry over the top of the sausage, now brush the third section of the pastry with egg wash and roll the sausage tightly, with the edge of the pastry sitting at the bottom.
  6. Slice into 8 pieces per roll and put on a lined baking tray. Brush the outside of the sausage roll with the egg wash and sprinkle with white sesame seeds.
  7. Bake for 30 minutes until cooked through and nicely golden brown.

Serve with lots of Maison Therese Sweet Chilli Relish.
