The Ultimate MT Beef Burger

Ingredients

Patties

• 500g beef mince
• 2 tablespoons of Maison Therese Tomato Relish
• 1 teaspoon of ground cumin
• 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika
• 1 egg
• 1/3 cup bread crumbs
• 1 large garlic clove – minced
• ½ small onion – very finely diced

Mayo

• ¾ cup mayo
• 3 tablespoons of Maison Therese Piccalilli

Other

• 2 large tomatoes
• 8 sliced of cheese
• Maison Therese Bread & Butter Pickle
• 4 sliced of lettuce
• 4 brioche buns

Serves 4

Method

1. In a mixing bowl, combine the patty ingredients. Shape into four even patties.
2. Mix the mayonnaise and Piccalilli together and set aside.
3. Ready all the other ingredients on the board. Slice the bare buns in half and butter them.
4. Using a large pan, place it on a medium heat with a good glug of oil. Fry the patties for 2 – 2.5 minutes per side, season well!
5. Whilst the patties are cooking, using another fry ban lightly toast the buns, first butter side then flip them and place the cheese onto the bottom buns so it lightly melts.
6. Now build the burger! Start with the bottom bun with the melted cheese, now the cooked patty, Bread and Butter Pickle, tomatoes, lettuce and then smother the top bun with the mayo mix and sandwich on top.
